Yes, the more tolerant and the real followers of peaceful Islam, the Sufis should be encouraged against the thick skinned and terrorizing wahabis and the sunni extremists. Sufism is tolerated world over and their music is adopted by all. Govt; should follow the advice of the Sufis.

The Sufi mahapanchayat rightly called to denounce wahabism; this is the call every moderate, right thinking muslim is waiting for. Wahabism is funded from saudi oil revenues stained with radicalism, intolerence and terrorism.

a very welcome step. If muslims come out in support of a moderate
approach and take a pro-developmenmt path, then I think no one should stop them in doing so. though they may have to fight amongst their own factions as well as some political vested interests, but this spring of development oriented political, patriotism oriented social and secularism oriented religious approach must be welcomed and supported. If the beliefs are genuine and well promoted, they may result in further cohesion in Indian society.

The Salafi ideology promoted by the oil rich Saudis is serving to inspire extremism and it is good that that Maulana Syed Mohd Ashraf Kachochavi has asked Muslims to reject the same and return to the Sufi traditions of the South Asian region.

Moderate Sunnis in India and Pakistan try to understand one thing that despite their majority in south asia, they have been sidelined by radical Wahabis in both countries because they have let them.

Nice to read the news that says Maulana is taking a move to save islam from the clutch of Wahabism and Deobondism. I appreciate the move and agree that many muslims, let it be Shia or Sunni, do not like hard core islamists. But to take Maulana as a Sufi leader, again becomes little awkward. The attire of Maulana Sahab is a mismatch with sufi pirs. The sufi leaders are very simple and never live a luxury life! They are totally devoted to the well-being of humans and remain immersed in the love of God. May be, Maulana sahab is bringing a movement of modernization of sufism! Anyway, the initiative is welcomed very much!!!

Congratulations on this Mahapanchayat. It is not too late to fight the terrorist Saudis dedicated to world domination by the sect favored by their ruling families. Look at the results of this trend in Pakistan–intersect massacres, bombings and assassinations. Sunnis killing Shi’as. Shi’as taking revenge. Wahhabism/deobandism is behind all of it. Not even in the fabled Sufi city of Multan are the Shi’as and the Sufis safe.

For a wahhabi music is haram but explosive is permissible. They use the term bid’ah too loosely. Almost all extreme interpretation of islam is given by these so called jehadis. waahhabism is curse on muslim community and it should be removed now. halwa mandi is better than hand grenade mandi! now the time to change has come!

This is an excellent message. I hope it rings loudly in Pakistan too. Sufi Islam has drunk deep at the well of Hinduism also; for example the concept of Kundalini Shakti and Nirvaan are imbibed in Sufism. Wahabism is a desert cruelty used as an islamic ideology to keep the saudi puppets in power.

Hey! this is the voice of true indian muslims, sufism preaches peace, tolerance and love to human being. Wahabi ideology has become the cult for entire humanity. Mr. Abdul Rehman Wahid former Indonesian president studied at AL-AZHAR the oldest university of islam stated that civilised section of the society across the world must unite against wahabism which poses a big threat to entire humanity. WE, the secular Indian feels that moderate voice should get the support of Indians to safeguard our land with this wahabi menace.

These types of panchayat will aware the world about real Islam and true muslims and it will also dryclean the dirty things spread by wahabis and salafis. The twenty per cent wahabis are the real threat to India and government must know about that.

A minimum, half a billion dollars. Aside from the start up cost of equipment, the cost of shows, and the cost of people, you have to convince cable and satellite providers to carry your channel. Major TV Channels like CNN, BBC and others whose programs are available in many parts of the world are reported to be spending over US $ 1 billion as annual recurring expenses.

Wahabism (Saudi Arabia) call us Sufi’s grave worshipers but they worship America the godless state.They worship money which is got by selling oil to the Americans and keeping their wealth to them selves while their people starve.Treating Indian Muslims as low caste and not allowing them to become citizens in Mecca and Madina which belongs to the ummah.They have more love for the Europeans than Muslims.They are now worshiping high rise building – see what they have done to Mecca.
